Dear Friend of Children and Families,

Imagine a community . . . where every child is safe . . . where parents are trained to help children reach their highest potentials . . . where children grow into responsible adults capable of nurturing and protecting their own children . . . the next generation of safe children . . . the next generation of nurturing and protective parents!

Protect-A-Child-Today! (PACT) was established in 1996 and incorporated as a nonprofit in 1999 in response to the need to improve child personal safety and quality of parenting in Washington. A community-based service organization, PACT aligns mission, vision and values to empower children with personal safety and life skills, while building stronger families to ensure optimal child development.

Mission - to protect children from all forms of victimization (this is the overarching purpose of our organization, our highest aspiration).

Vision - to form a circle of protection around every child (this is the future we seek to create in the State of Washington).

Values - to guide our activities we commit ourselves to quality, expertise, innovation, diversity, collaboration and commitment (these are our beliefs in action).

Programs - the classes, workshops and strategies PACT uses to fulfill our mission - are the heart of our organization! We have build partnerships with dozens of school districts, community organizations and religious institutions throughout Washington. Across the state, communities are determined to provide family education that brings about real and lasting differences in the lives of those who participate. We measure our success against this lofty standard. We meet the challenge by holding firm to our time-tested solution:

• Evaluate and select the most effective family education programs
• Assess community needs and make recommendations to schools, family organizations, churches and businesses
• Offer and deliver our programs at our client's site

PACT programs make for safe homes and safe communities. As our most valuable resource, children deserve no less!
